Setting our course in life begins with accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Acts 2:21 tells us that, "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." And Romans 10:9-10 reads, "That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
The Bible declares that we can know that we have eternal life. I John 5:13 reads, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
Having eternal life is as simple as believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died and was raised from the dead, and then confessing that with your mouth. If you have never called on the Name of the Lord, you don't have to wait any longer! The following is a prayer of salvation. Simply pray this prayer aloud and you will be saved!
"Heavenly Father, I come to you in Jesus' Name. The Bible says that if I call on the name of the Lord, I will be saved. So, I do that now. I believe in my heart that Jesus came to the earth, died on the cross, and rose from the dead so that I can be saved and have eternal life. I confess that Jesus is Lord. I thank you that I am now a child of God! I am saved and have received eternal life."
If you just prayed this prayer out loud, the Bible says you have instantly become a "new creature in Christ: old things have passed away, behold all things are new." (II Corinthians 5:17) You are now part of the family of God! You will never be the same. Now you need to find a good local church that will teach you the Word of God. A church that will love and care for you, and help direct you on the right path and course for your life!
